Preorder: Playstation 2 Netplay Controller

Logitech is soliciting preorders for an "All in One" controller for the Playstation 2 which ships on June 13. Retail pricing is set at Y9980 or roughly US$95 from NCS. If you don't mind the expanse between the directional pad and the game control buttons, the item serves well as a combo Dual Shock 2 / Keyboard whose 84-key layout is slightly bigger than an iMac's. Note that the keyboard portion slides out and may be used by it's lonesome without the "joypad" components hanging off the sides. Similarly, the controller portion may be used sans keyboard component. Perfect for happily addicted FFXI/PlayOnline users.

NEWS: Assorted Updates
Ikaruga is not in play. All preorders remain tentative until we hear additional news from our supplier(s). As such, it is not necessary to email NCS to cancel your preorder as nothing will be processed until we have more information. In other words, we receive bountiful email floods every day and don't need another stream. We have not charged anyone for Ikaruga per our normal pre-order policies.
NCS contacted Treasure directly and through intermediaries a number of times to try and effect a production run of 5,000 copies for which we would bear the full brunt and all costs. Alas, they appear aloof. We have sizable preorders for this game and obviously, we'd like to see it released. If we have any updates, we'll keep everyone posted.
Most of our Final Fantasy XI-preorder customers took our advice to heart and are sitting out the current FFXI + HDD bundle at US$300. As such, we did not receive enough orders to meet our supplier's minimum order quantity. Although only internal HDD kits are on offer at the current time, we expect external HDD kits to be available in a week or so as supplies become more readily available. Prices should also become a little more reasonable but not by much as HDD kits are still scarce. Please await our notices on further FFXI bundle import plans and arrangements.
The Japanese version of the Gamecube Wavebird ships on June 14. That's four days after the American debut. Needless to say, but we'll say it anyway: We won't be importing the Japanese version unless stateside supplies are short or completely botched.
As long as BROWN doesn't fcomet our packages at a hub or something silly like that, everything (new stock and restock) we expected this week will arrive tomorrow. If they do good, "Domo-kun" won't have to make any colorful commentary on Friday...
