Hurtling
to Earth from the ether of outer space, a tiny spaceman
measuring no more than 5cm tall joins the lives of a normal
family. Adopted by the household, the miniscule alien
engages in episodes and misadventures with members of the
family. Its munchkin-like size allows for a unique
perspective of the world and turns mundane scenarios and
encounters into epic adventures in the big house. Each
family member enters little dramas and interesting
situations in which the spaceman aids and abets. Although
small in this brave new world, our cosmic mite wields mighty
abilities including super strength, an antenna to tap into
conversations, time travel skills and the power of flight.
Use these and other special abilities to help complete each
level. In one scenario, the small alien helps the daughter
of the house prepare a meal, heretofore frightening to other
family members. For once, help her make a palatable meal
that everyone can enjoy. Many of the other scenarios include
similar left of center themes. Played entirely in a 3-D
action setting, I Am Small succeeds as one of those
quirky games with charming style.
