PS2: October Import Roster    JPN
° Taiko no Tatsujin (Drum Master)  [Published by Namco / Y6980]
   Released in early 2001 on Namco System-10 hardware, TnT sees a port to the PS2 on October 24. As a testament to it's Bemani inspired popularity, the game is already up to the third incarnation this year. The gist is this: Watch the cues on-screen and slap the skins when you're signaled. Three different types of drum beats are utilized in the game, ranging from a single hit, a double bop, and a special move where you hit the perimeter of the drum. Namco will also ship the TataCon or drum controller at the rate of Y2980 each.
° King of Fighters 2000  [Published by Playmore / Y6800]
   Following the Dreamcast release of KOF 2000 on August 08, Playstation 2 owners get their own edition of the "Mother of all fighting games", 2K vintage, on October 24. Here's a hint for anyone undecided on which version to buy: Get the DC release. Trust us on this.

PS1: Puyo Puyo Madness    JPN
   The maxim of "You can never get enough Puyo" has been muttered on many an occasion. During the reign of Genesis, main character Arle and her motley gang of mates first made their way to the U.S with the help of Mega-Key cartridge converters. New fans (addicts) were born. A simple puzzle game with addictive qualities, Puyo Puyo mimics the basic principles of Tetris but instead of blocks, little shimmering jellies called Puyos rain from the heavens and descend in 2-blob units. Puyos are tinted in different hues and the aim of the game is to match colors in contiguous arrangements to pop them from the screen.
   The Puyo Puyo franchise has buttered publisher Compile's bread for many, many years. Nintendo has Mario, Sega owns Sonic, and Compile has the power of Puyo. To remind the faithful and perhaps gain new devotees, Compile will re-release four Puyo Puyos on August 21.
Puyo Puyo Sun (Best)  [First released on Saturn / Y2800]
Puyo Puyo Tsu (Best)  [First released on MD / Y2800]
Puyo Puyo Box  [First released on PS in limited quantities / Y4980]
Puyo Puyoon  [First released on DC / Y4980}
