PS2: Auto Modellista  JPN  US$60  BUY
Across the globe, racing clubs from Japan to the USA engage in competitions and general cruising during the twilight hours while the general populace snoozes. Daytime displays are generally relegated to race tracks or parking arenas where cars with popped hoods are lined up for evaluation. Social interplay, machismo, and lots of chest puffing are in evidence during these racing forays. Join the rocket-racer revolution with Capcom's take on the street racing scene. A Garage Mode creates a world where races happen regularly and the winnings allow speed demons to spiff up a car and eventually gather a passel of cars to race and customize. Wings, turbo-boosters, and decorative upgrades may be bolted onto vanilla chassis but we generally recommend that wings be kept lower than the roof of the vehicle. For those who just want to race, an Arcade Mode gets you on the asphalt and you're on your way. A number of cars which are highly modified in the real world for street racing are present in Modellista including the Honda Civic Type R, Maxda RX-7 Type RS and the Toyota Supra RZ.

NEWS: Toy Previews
Measuring 30cm tall, Kotobukiya's Obiwan Action Figure puts the Jedi knight in a running pose with light-saber in hand. We imagine Jango Fett somewhere in the distance, readying for the impact, as a steely-eyed Obiwan propels himself forward like a rabid bantha. This item ships in October 2002 and NCS expects pricing at US$80 per unit.

   Metal
Lupin Keychains should hit the spot and provide a little jingle for fans of the master thief and his cohorts. Designed with a single handcuff which slides into the body of the keychain, Inspector Zenigata would approve... NCS expects pricing at US$10 per keychain and delivery in late October 2002.

Flip the lid of either of these
Gatchaman Zippo lighters and amaze bystanders that such a thing exists. A popular 70s animation, stateside admirers would know Gatchaman as Battle of the Planets. Delivery is expected in late October 2002 at a price of US$85 each. Note: Zippo Manufacturing in the USA will provide warranty for this product.
