PS1: Martial Beat 2 w/ Controller  JPN  US$115  ORDER
Attach the Martial Beat sensors to your wrists and ankles and boot up the Martial Beat 2 game. Wait a few seconds and soon you'll be kung-fu fighting like the chop-socky fellow that you aspire to be. Karate, Tae Kwan Do, and Kick Boxing are all practiced by viewing an on-screen instructor who guides you through various moves. Once you've gotten the hang of the different martial arts, you may work on a diet menu in the Fitness mode of the game to melt away the poundage. Here, you select various repetitive leg and arm exercises to perform and work yourself into a lather. An Attack mode may be enjoyed where you punch and kick goons that dare approach your virtual persona.
Once the action gets hot and heavy, a human player can look comical lifting his leg(s) and flailing his arms in front of the television. A lively selection of 12 musical tracks accompany the game including such stompers as "Can't Touch This" by Minister Hammer, "It's Raining Men" by former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, and "Never Ending Story" by Creamy.

GC: Captain Tsubasa ~ Golden Generation  JPN  US$63  ORDER
The young Japanese soccer player named Tsubasa Ozora and his manga exploits have thrilled and inspired youth from around the world. Tsubasa's dream is to evolve and grow into the greatest soccer player on earth and to this end, he travels the world to compete against the best.
Konami debuts the Captain Tsubasa franchise on the Gamecube for the first time with a soccer engine that is based on the flick action scheme of previous releases. Upon starting the game, the Captain assembles and trains his team of players by developing their skills, stamina, and speed. Soccer games feature the usual dramatic anime shots where soccer balls catch fire or change shape from sphere to oblong to indicate the velocity at which they're traveling. The appearance of character portraits during the action also convey drama and strategy, encouragement and general rah-rah exhortations. Winning matches on the road to the World Cup enhances team morale and will allow team members to learn new soccer attacks and increase their abilities on the field.

NEWS: Assorted Updates
A small supply of PS2 Drummania with Controller has been restocked today. New orders ship this afternoon.

Dreamcast Dream of Pandora Limited Edition also arrived this morning but we'll update this new product on Friday's news posting. Any preorders will ship automatically today.

Please note that there is a possibility that Phantasy Star Online Episode 1+2 may not arrive until MONDAY. This was really the most important shipment for us this week and we're seeing everything else arrive on time. The added irony for today is that a partial shipment of the ASCII keyboard controllers arrived without delay. It's a decent sized keyboard measuring 15" in length with English letters on the upper-left corner of the chiclet-size keys and the hiragana/katakana on the lower right corner. The quality of the keyboard is very good with tactile soft response and a lengthy cord. A Gamecube joypad is split to the left and right portions of the keyboard with the D-pad and Start button on the left and the rest of the "pad" on the right. As if to taunt us, the PSO logo is pasted on the lower-right section of the keyboard packaging.
Finally, we're just the messenger and the trade conduit for PSO. There is no need for violence, i.e, please refrain from killing anyone at NCS if PSO arrives on Monday. Thank you for your cooperation. In parting, remember those immortal words... "Can't we all just get along?"
