Shikigami no Shiro - Red

Shikigami no Shiro - Blue

NEWS: Xbox - December Preorders  JPN
Shikigami no Shiro Evolution ships on December 19 for the Xbox and publisher MediaQuest plans a variant cover gimmick where the girls in the game are featured on the cover of a "Red" version and the boys appear on the front of the "Blue" Edition. In addition to the original normal arcade mode from the original Shikigami released earlier this year, the new edition includes an Evolution remix of the game which features the following new tidbits: Arcade layout mode (horizontal screen aspect), choose the color of your character, a new story mode for each character, configurable buttons, movie viewer, and the usual normal and practice modes. Shikigami no Shiro offers horizontal shooter action where characters (not ships) battle their way through 5 levels of froth-inducing fun. Impressive bosses meet players at the end of each level and flitting enemies give up a mess of coins when destroyed. The game uses a "near-miss" system where your firepower increases when enemy fire whizzes by your onscreen protagonist at close pixels.

Fromsoft ships Otogi on December 12 for Xbox [JPN]. Drawing easy comparisons to certain 3-D action slashing games from Capcom, Otogi follows the story of an armored samurai named Raikou. Our hero battles demons in feudal Japan using magic and weaponry as he traipses through dark lands and dimly lit villages.
Kiki ships the Yarudora-esque Triangle Again 2 musical adventure and Aqua Plus ships Telenettsa (RPG) on Dec. 19 for Xbox.

NEWS: Playstation 2 - January Preorders  JPN
Armored Core 3: Silent Line - Published by From Soft

After the claustrophobic underground existence found in Armored Core 3, civilization moves back to the surface world. Back to their old rivalries, the ruling corporations comprised of Crest, Mirage, and Kisaragi all vie again for control and set upon each other with mech mercenaries called Ravens. Additional parts to boost your robot and the ability to transfer save-data from AC3 make Silent Line a smooth transition for stalwarts of the series. AC3SL ships on January 30, 2003 at a price of Y6800.
Makai Senki Disgaia - Published by Nippon Ichi

Borne from the fiery loins of the devil, the main character of Makai Senki Disgaia is literally a lil' devil. When old Beezlebub croaks, the path of ascension is unclear and Satan's spawn Raharu must prove himself by taking on all rivals and pretenders to the throne. Designed similarly to games such as Final Fantasy Tactics, Ogre Battle, and Hoshigami, characters battle in 3-D isometric tactical theaters. Conventional weaponry as well as magical spells may be used in the course of war and two comrades watch your back  - a wispy devil girl named Etona (complete with forked tail) and a demon penguin named Priny join your party at the outset of the game. Additional soldiers and fighters may be created with Nippon Ichi's Free Character Creation System. NCS will stock a regular edition priced at Y6800 along with a limited edition priced at Y8800 on January 30, 2003.
