NEWS: King of Fighters 2002 JPN $325 PREORDER

Preorders are now open for the Japanese and English editions of King of Fighters 2002. The game ships on December 19 at a retail price of US$325. Featuring a 3-on-3 battle system sans Strikers this time out, NCS has heard loud laments and complaints concerning the final roster list in the game since play-testing and news broke in late August. Although the roster shortcomings are indeed lamentable, perhaps the company will redeem themselves next year... it's only 12 months.

Gamecube Memory Adapter

ETC: Assorted Updates JPN

The Hong Kong Annual Electronics Fair took place last week and EMS Industrial displayed a number of wares for various consoles. Although we'll likely pass on the GBA camera and the Xbox DVD remote, we are interested in the Gamecube memory adapter + USB Cable which allows transfer of GC data saves to and from a PC. NCS expects delivery next week at a price of US$39 for a 64M memory card/adapter and cable.

Capcom announced the Best Collection re-releases of PS Rockman X6 (11/28), PS2 Maximo, Onimusha 2 (Both shipping on 12/12), and Snowboard Heaven (11/28). NCS has not committed to importing these.

New GBA preorders: Square's Chocobo Land for the GBA, which ships on December 13 and Namco's Klonoa Heroes and Space Big Operation Chocovade, shipping on Dec 13 and 20 respectively.
