Space Fishermen

PS2: Space Fishermen   ASN  $49  ORDER
Unknown to mere mortals, countless planets across the cosmos hold a bounty of exotic creatures within their oceans. Cognizant only to that special breed called Space Fisherman, these intrepid adventurers visit worlds armed with only an electronic fishing rod. With this imposing instrument which crackles out a line of force, creatures are lured from their watery domains and wrestled into submission. Planetary prey consist of monstrosities which resemble tin cans with moxie, sentient gelatin molds, fish-like creatures which flash pearly teeth and even an Orca-like beast which wields an anchor as weapon. At first bite, a fisherman will weave back and forth as the trapped creature rises into the air and battles back with electrical sparks, appendage wallops, and blasts of power. Those with stamina and fortitude eventually win out against the exhausted catch but fisherman who waver in their conviction will watch as the beast breaks free and plumbs back into the depths. Styled in cel-shaded splendor, Space Fisherman gives the impression of a playable cartoon with crisp artwork and fluid animation.

Taiko no Tatsujin

Simple cues at the outset

PS2: Taiko no Tatsujin with TataCon  JPN  $85  ORDER
Powered by a catchy selection of anime and J-Pop songs ranging from the sprightly Hamtaro Theme to the adventurous Love Machine, Taiko no Tatsujin impresses with a likable selection of music tracks and inspired rhythm gaming. Four new songs are included in the home version, the most recognizable being the Klonoa 2 theme. Play mechanics are simple, with five basic moves to tap on the TataCon drum controller as the on-screen smiley face cues scroll across the screen. The color and expression of the smiley triggers any one of the following drum moves:
--
Red Smiley - Hit the surface of the TataCon
Blue Smiley - Smack the edge of the TataCon
Red Laugh - Blast a strong surface thump with both sticks
Blue Laugh - Hit both edges of the TataCon simultaneously
Smiley Overlaps Frame - Fire off rapid staccato with both sticks
-
To help the uncoordinated masses with the basics of drum rhythm, a Beginner mode taught by professor Bachio tutors tyros on the basics of the game and how to read the cue signals. Four other modes of play include an Arcade Mode, Free Mode, Survival Mode, and a Mini-game mode where one can experience such wonders as "100m Dash" and "Boss Don Marathon." Each copy of Taiko ships in a largish container which includes the game software, a pair of drumsticks and a drum controller. Please note that additional drum controllers are not available this week, so you'll have to fly solo - updates once we have news on stock.
Preorders ship today at the price of US$75. New orders will be priced at US$85. This item is a dimensional weight product and as such, we recommend shipping only with UPS Ground.
