  Devil May Cry Figures

PREORDER
   Toy manufacturer Yamato has opened up vendor preorders for a sextet of Devil May Cry 2 figures shipping in May 2003. Along with Dante pictured to the left, Trish and a quartet of Marionettes join the demon killer in stylized figures with glistening sheen.
   Each figure measures 5.9" or 15cm tall. Although Dante and crew are not posable, their dramatic action stances are dynamic enough and don't require any further help. Pricing is expected at US$30 per figure. Each vendor case contains 4 Dante figures, 4 Trish figures and 1 each of the four Marionette color variants. Something tells us we'll be stuck with a lot of Marionettes.

   NCS remains unsure of why manufacturer MadCow chose that unfortunate name but we pin the blame on a misguided entrepreneur somewhere in Asia. Theoretically speaking, he starts his company during the time of the beef scare in Britain and figures, "I could capitalize on the panic with a catchy name but bovine spongiform encephalopathy doesn't roll off the tongue." To further foil his plans for world domination, the term Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease doesn't fit on his business card with the 18-point Arial he wants. Then it hits him. MadCow. The words echo in his mind and haunt his entire being. Rushing to the local business development office, he creates the company and like a thunder clap, MadCow is born.   General Updates

JAPAN
   PS2 FFX-2 is now expected tomorrow morning. Japanese distributors chose to not break street date and only allowed the release of games to vendors last night. Perhaps the fact that American and European gamers were playing Japanese imports 1-2 days before their Japanese counterparts perturbed someone somewhere.
   Paine's FFX-2 memory card is now sold out and the Tiny Bee controller was short-shipped yesterday. We are checking for additional supplies of this item and we'll notify customers on our preorder list once we have additional stock.
   Datel's Mega Memory 16X for Gamecube is now in stock and priced at US$19. The European packaging uses a much smaller blister type container than the grotesque Interact versions from a while ago. The card uses non-volatile, uncompressed memory which should prevent random loss of data. 
   New USA games released this week included PS2 Zone of Enders: The Second Runner and the mighty World Soccer Winning Eleven 6. Both games are in stock and shipping same-day for all orders received before 05:00PM EST.
