Ai Yori Aoshi

Based on the popular romance anime of the same name, the story in the PS2 game puts the Ai Yori gang on a cruise headed towards an island retreat. Halfway before paradise, harsh weather forces the cruise liner onto a deserted island. After all hands are accounted for, the survivors decide to split into an exploratory group and a food gathering group to get their bearings and sate hunger pangs. A second adventure in the game goes to the other extreme and places the crew in a ski resort.

Engage in interaction sequences as well as mini games such as fishing and obstacle dodging in the island scenario. Once the castaways are off the island, the second scenario allows players to go skating in a ski resort adventure.

The heroes of Space Battleship Yamato provide the theme for the two pachinko tables in the latest Fever release. A flashy table dubbed CR Fever Daiyamato stands out with a massive Yamato Battleship poking out of the top portion of the table and a portfolio window in the center which shows a Yamato character in triplicate. The second machine, knighted CR Fever Lucky Bell, sports a festive holiday design with plenty of bells and ribbon-work. A ranking mode allows players to post their best scores online and see where they stand against pachinko otaku across Japan.

Hori Digital Controller

Upon grabbing one of Hori's new Digital Controllers for the Gamecube, it's natural to wax nostalgic about the olden days when SFC and SNES ruled the gaming landscape. Hori appears to have taken the mold directly from Nintendo's SFC joypad fabrication plant and adopted the same dimensions of the original Super Famicom pad. The circular bottoms mirror the original and the Select and Start buttons are identically slanted and positioned. Other than the obvious differences of the controller buttons, we noticed two major differences. The top L and R triggers are more recessed in the original SFC controllers and the back of the Hori controller features curved finger grips on the left and right whereas the original had a flat backing.

NCS also stocked Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed for Wonderswan Color today. All preorders and new orders are shipping today.

Our first supply of Gameboy Players are expected on Monday of next week. The silver-colored version appears to be readily available (don't ask) but the other colors are lacking in various vendor offers. As expected, shipments will be short in our first few batches but supplies should free up in the next few days as Nintendo ships additional supplies to market. Pricing will remain at the original offer of US$70.

Anubis LE was restocked today and any remaining back-orders will see processing and shipping today. A small quantity of the PS2 Tiny Bee also arrived but these are being allocated to back-orders. Further updates if we are able to import more Bees.

The Arc the Lad Twilight of the Spirits LE gallery is ready but since there is a surfeit of information today, we're posting it tomorrow. Photos of the bonuses in the Sister Princess Limited Editions from yesterday will also be displayed tomorrow.
