 New Dreamcast Preorders

King of Fighters 2002 isn't the only Dreamcast import seeing release this summer. Even if Sega isn't supporting the DC faithful with new releases anymore, three publishers are shipping new product in June. Note that Interlude was originally slated to ship on March 13 but the new release date has been pushed to April 24. New preorders for the game are being accepted starting today.
Three limited edition variants of games are also shipping in June but details are scarce on the special inclusions. Based on the price difference of ~Y1000 for each one, we figure they're all bonus music CDs or data disks of some sort. All products listed for preorder are Japanese territory only. Asian DC games appear limited to Sakura Taisen titles, which have enough of a fanbase in Asia to warrant production.

Soul Calibur 2 wristwatch

 Import Restock

All backorders for GC Soul Calibur and P.N. 03 are shipping today. New orders are welcome for shipping this afternoon. A scant supply of GC Winning Eleven 6 Final Evolution will ship to backorders today. Shipments of GC Soul Calibur 2 are expected throughout the week and we will be able to keep the game in stock for the foreseeable future for same-day shipping on all orders.
The Asian territory version of Xbox Soul Calibur 2 also arrived today. Every copy of the game includes the Soul Calibur 2 wristwatch shown to the left. It's of the wind-up variety and is packed in a nifty Soul Calibur 2 clear case. The manual for the game is printed in both English and Chinese with a section which checks out each character in the game and divulges special attacks. The menus of both Japanese and Asian games are pretty much entirely in English with some Japanese subtitles in the options menu and Japanese voices for the fighters. One other difference is the silkscreen on the respective DVDs - whereas the printing on the Japanese disk shows a plain pink overlay with sword silhouette on the bottom, the Asian disk features a grey sword/lightning design with the red sword silhouette on the bottom as well.
NCS will restock the Japanese territory version of Xbox Soul Calibur 2 on Thursday.

The first batch of the various Final Fantasy X products are expected on Thursday or Friday. We were crazy enough to order the 5-case minimum order quantity of the Tidus coats at a cost of ~US$260 each. Even if they don't sell, at least we'll have an interesting pictorial once we perform our inspections. Photos, commentary and all that other good stuff once the products arrive.
