   NCS is now accepting preorders for a new Midnight Blue Playstation 2 console shipping on June 12. The unit will include a network adapter (SCPH-10350) and a built-in 40GB hard drive (SCPH-20401) along with BB Navigator v0.30 software. In addition to the blue PS2, a midnight blue joypad and vertical stand will also be included in the package. Pricing in Japan stands at Y35000 and NCS expects stateside retail to range between US$385 and $395 depending on shipping costs per unit. Sony will also ship a midnight blue memory card and additional Dual Shock 2 joypads on June 12 at Y2800 each.
 
 

  General Product Updates

   Hori announced a pair of GBA SP earbud-style headphones which plug directly into the unit without need for the headphone adapter. Pricing is expected at ~US$18 with delivery due next week.
   Hori also announced a special J-League Let's Make the Pro Soccer Club memory card which ships on June 5.
   Karat will produce a new version of the Japanese PS2 Pro-Action Replay at the end of the month which integrates an 8M memory card with the PAR dongle. In addition to the cheat code function of the PAR, a feature which strips DVD macrovision protection for RGB output is programmed into the unit. The new PAR supports all Japanese PS2 console revisions up to the spring PS2 SCPH-39000R line.
   Manufacturer Cyberjet announced a pair of Dual Shock 2 clones dubbed Cyber Analog Controllers colored Aqua Blue or Pearl White which are shipping in late June.
   Popy opened up preorders for a set of Naruto bottlecaps which ship in July 2003.
   Yujin ships a Zoids Marie Champ figure in July followed by a Gaogaigar Final Renne Cardiff figure. Each toy measures 15 cm in height or approximately 6" tall. NCS expects pricing at US$12 per figure.
 
 

  Import Outlook

   NCS expects PS2 Love Hina Gorgeous and Phantom of Inferno on Wednesday or Thursday of this week.
   Belated shipments of PS2 Final Fantasy XI All in One Pack and GBA Yugioh Worldwide Edition are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday morning in two batches. The Japanese version of Yugioh includes three God cards consisting of Obelisk the Tormentor, Ra the Winged Dragon and Slifer the Sky God which are packed in a foil-wrapped packet included inside the game carton.

   Preorders for the new Japanese PS2 SCPH-50000 consoles will ship tomorrow. Aqua PS2 consoles are also slated for restock on Tuesday morning.
   Restock expected on Tuesday morning: GBA Made in Wario, Xbox Soul Calibur 2, PS King of Fighters 97 and GC Silver Joypads.
