   The Gamecube Station Rack GCR-Z was a mystery earlier in the week, especially since we didn't recall preordering it. The mystery was solved today when the obscenely large accessory arrived in bulging boxes. Colored purple and yellow, the Station Rack holds a Gamecube, Gameboy, joypads, cables and up to 8 GBA carts in slots. We'll post up photos later today.

Drag-On Dragoon

   Hearken back to an age when dragons ruled the skies and strife ran through the land. Two nations in a long-running war seek to destroy the other with armies and the power of dragons. As the game begins, the Empire unleashes an attack on protagonist Kaimu's village where a mighty black dragon obliterates his castle and parents.
Seeking revenge, Kaimu gives up the power of speech to become a solemn dragon knight with a powerful red dragon at his behest. Rising to the skies on his new ride, Kaimu devastates enemy forces with swooping flame attacks as well as aerial combat against dragon corps. On the ground, Kaimu tackles entire armies where he rages on foot with a sword and a defensive shield. The spray of blood spurts liberally during the game for gore fans to take in.
 
 

Gekitou Pro Baseball

  FOCUS Gekitou Professional Baseball
   Manga scribe Shinji Mizushima lends his well known assemblage of memorable baseball characters from Dokaben, Do Ahou Koushien and ten other manga to Sega's latest baseball simulation. Heroes such as the aptly named Fujimura Koushien of "Do Ahou Koushien" and the mighty Taro Yamada of Dokaben fame are included in the manga cast. Sega melds live action polygon players with cel-shaded manga icons for a lively action game.
The look of the two graphic styles may appear disconcerting at first but the clash resolves (or maybe it just becomes acceptable) after a while. Gameplay consists of standard pitching, batting and fielding the ball. Anime cut-scenes are common during the course of a ballgame where players talk, dramatic plays are captured in exciting fashion and managerial decisions are conveyed with exacting force and manga style.
 
 

  NEWS General Updates
   Preorders are now welcome for Square's remake of the original Front Mission game which was originally released on the Super Famicom in 1995. We remember retailing that one for $115 back in the day. Front Mission: The First for the Playstation One adds new scenarios to the original game and ships on October 23, 2003 at US$39.  
   PS2 New Century (Shinseiki) Evangelion has been delayed from September 25 to November 23. PS2 The King of Mahjong Battle has also been delayed to September 25 and Battle X Battle Huge Fish Fantasy is now October 26.
   Konami has announced PSOne Books re-releases for Akumajou Dracula X, Parodius Deluxe Pack, Ganbare Goemon Uchuu Kaizoku Akogingu, Gradius Gaiden, Twinbee Deluxe Pack and Metal Gear Solid Integral. All titles will ship on November 27 at roughly US$23 each from NCS.
