  NEWS Sonic X Plush v2.0 Preorder
   From the first set of Sonic X Plushes which arrived a few weeks ago, Cream and Cheese the Chao were best sellers and scampered off our inventory roster with the quickness. Gone. Chao was sickeningly cuddly and Cream was...weird looking with her mega-mascara but apparently appealing. Looking over the next set of Sonic X plushes, we're assuming that Sonic won't sell too well since we still have hundreds of that one from v1.0. Perhaps Rouge the Bat (8 o' clock in the photo) and Bokkun (10 o' clock position) will join Cream and Chao in selling out first. We'll see.
   The Sonic X v2.0 plushies are expected to ship in late January 2004 at a price of ~US$9 each. Each plush measures 9.05" (23cm) tall.
 
 

  NEWS Macross Valkyrie 1/48 Scale VF-1J Preorder
   Yamato officially opened up preorders a few days ago for the next 1/48 scale Valkyrie which features the VF-1J Ichijo Hikaru model. Similar to previous 1/48 scale gargantuans, the VF-1J includes wing flaps which move, detailed armor features, a hinged cockpit canopy, and the ability to change from jetfighter to gerwalk to battroid mode. An assortment of missiles, boosters and a regulation issue gunpod are also splayed inside the package.
   Two versions of the upcoming 1/48 Scale are planned - first, a VF-1J which includes a full assortment of Super Pack Parts and a plain vanilla version with just the VF-1J by itself. Delivery is expected in late November 2003 and a larger photo montage of both VF-1J Valkyrie versions may be viewed here.
 
 

Capcom Figure Collection

  NEWS Capcom Figure Collection Photos
   Yamato has posted a few updated photos of the upcoming Chun Li vs Cammy figure collection which ships in October. The set features three different types of each girl warrior in various kung-fu fighting poses. Each figure measures approximately 12cm or roughly 5" tall and is mounted on a pedestal for display purposes. The packaging container and artwork have also been revealed, which we see on the left.   NEWS General Updates
   The weather is frightful in NYC today with sheets of rain cascading down and heavy winds blowing a bluster outside. Despite the downpour, our import shipments appear to be moving along although nothing arrived this morning. We expect most cartons to arrive tomorrow at this point and all preorders for Border Down will ship on Wednesday.
   Preorders for PS2 Transformers Tataki from Takara are now open. We had expected the game to be delayed but Takara has confirmed the date of October 30, 2003.
   We're working on procuring a supply of PS2 Castlevania Limited Edition (known in the USA as Lament of Innocence) and we'll post an update once we confirm how many we'll be able to import. The limited edition includes a 2003-2004 calendar, a music CD and a piece of artwork by Ayami Kojima whose work has graced Castlevania games since Symphony of the Night.
