  NEWS Donkey Konga Preorder

   Nintendo and Namco team up this winter and place the legendary simian known as Donkey Kong in a rhythm action game. Cranky and Donkey Kong Junior also join the big ape as rhythm protagonists. The play mechanics in Donkey Konga are similar to Namco's Taiko no Tatsujin game where cues roll down a conveyer belt towards a target circle. When the circle frames each moving cue dead-center, its time to slap the conga and receive your props. Up to four players may join the fun at once although you'll need an extra conga drum for multiple drummers.
   Nintendo/Namco include one conga drum controller with the game but additional conga drums will also be available for sale from NCS. Due to the shipping costs for bringing this game in, NCS has priced the game bundle and extra controllers accordingly.

  NEWS Incoming Imports, General Updates

   Four imports are expected this Thursday - PS2 Chain Dive, GC Atsumare! Made in Wario, GBA Gold Gameboy Advance SP and OST Shikigami no Shiro 2 Soundtrack. The gold-colored GBA SP is exclusive to Japanese Toys 'R Us stores and we'll have to charge a slight premium for the pick-up service that our suppliers provided this past weekend.
   A small supply of the Space Invaders 25th Anniversary Controller bundle is also expected on Thursday. Backorders are welcome.
   We didn't need reiteration but distributors in Japan have re-confirmed the ship date of Dec. 18 for the PS2 version of SNK vs Capcom Chaos overnight. The Sega Ages release of PS2 Hokuto no Ken which ships on December 11 was also reconfirmed last night.
   Nintendo announced the Japanese version of Mario Kart: Double Dash - which ships on November 13 - a meager four days before the USA version. We'll import the game for Gamecube import purists despite the short release lag between Japan and USA.
   Three network adapter bundles for PS2 were announced overnight for Biohazard Outbreak (Y8980), Karaoke Revolution (Y7980) and Mobile Suit Gundam Z AEUG vs Titans (Y8980). We don't expect to stock them but the bundles will include a copy of the game and a network adapter.
   Manufacturer Max Factory announced a new set of Dragonball Z Posing figures which ship on December 19. We've prepared a small gallery of photos of the various toys and the product packaging.
