PS2 Transformers Tatakai

Since 1985, Transformers have thrilled fervent fans with their animated adventures where Autobots faced off against Decepticons. Nearly 20 years after those early escapades, Takara pits their storied Generation One creations against each other in a 3-D action game of epic proportions.

Take control of varied G1 robots from the Autobots or Decepticons and use special attacks and skills in order to shoot, punch, grapple and throw opponents to the wayside. Repeated actions will enhance that particular skill and level a bot up to higher performance parameters. Of course, the ability to transform from robotic form to vehicle mode is of importance in the game and helps a player handle different fight or flee situations.

Particularly cool transformations include Soundwave's change from robot to sonic blasting cassette tape and Megatron's shift from imposing bruiser to hefty but immobile gun cannon. Transformers also have the ability to call in an airstrike or havoc-rousing reinforcements during a tight spot.

Takara decided to use the USA names for all of the robots in the game and the voice actors speak English which makes Transformers Tatakai import friendly.
