   The new SRW Scramble Commander game has garnered most of the preorders this week but there's a bit of interest in the Japanese version of Mario Kart Double Dash and PS2 Siren as well. Oriental Blue was released last week but it makes its belated way to our shelves this week...

Macross SDF Candy Toy

  TOY Macross SDF 001 Series Candy Toy Shipping today

Kayodo and Movic release a new set of miniature Macross toys which feature transformable Valkyries which are a mere 2.5" tall/long in various configurations. There are five different types in the collection shown on the back of the packaging but we suspect there's at least a secret figure based on exhibition photos. Valkyrie variants featured in the collection include Ichijo Hikaru's VF-1A, Max Jenius' VF-1J, Esbeliben Regult - Tactical Battlepods, etc. The toys are packed 120 pieces per case so they're very small and pricing is set at US$5 per unit. As usual, the assortment will be random but a full box of 10 figures should contain a full set.

 
 

SF Movie Selection Alien

  TOY SF Movie Selection: Alien Vol. 1 Candy Toy Shipping today

   Fans of all things Alien may find solace in the new Alien candy toys.
Expanding their line of sci-fi cinema candy toys, Konami issues a set based on the original Alien movie directed by Ridley Scott. Interested parties may view the prototype photos from the May 2003 preproduction showing. Figures featured include a Chest Burster, a newborn Face-Hugger and the adult alien from the 1979 film and an adult Dog Alien and New Alien from the 1992 Alien 3 film. Ships from the original film include the imposing Nostromo and the Narcissus escape craft which Ripley launched from the Nostromo before blowing it up...assuming that blast would get rid of the tenacious Alien.

 
 

Naruto Keychains

  TOY Naruto Keychains Shipping today

   Naruto crew enjoy even more exposure with a new set of keychains which feature one character from the series and a little trinket to go along with the chain.
   From the photo on the left, starting at the top left and going clockwise, we have Naruto Uzumaki, Kakashi Hatake, Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno. Kakashi and Sakura play it cool with calm poses but Naruto and Sasuke play it up for the camera. Due to a packaging error, Kakashi Hatake is not available this week.

 
 

Naruto Action Figures

  NEWS General Updates  
   We'll check out the other toys that arrived earlier today in tomorrow's update. There's two Naruto action figures and the Namco Girls candy toys that we'll have to bag into complete sets and photograph properly.
   All backorders for the Valkyrie Super Pack Parts are shipping today; new orders are welcome. We're also shipping out all remaining backorders for the Transformers Collection Soundwave figure and most backorders for the Transformers BT-01 Diecast Impreza. Please note that any remaining orders for the Impreza will be filled by the end of the month when Takara finishes up their production of the item.
   Square Enix announced a new set of toys based on various Final Fantasy characters called "FF Trading Arts figures." Six Final Fantasy characters and a secret figure will be randomly packaged into the candy toy cardboard containers: Cloud, Lulu, Rinoa, Sephiroth, Vivi, and Yuna. We'll throw up a set of stock photos of the characters in tomorrow's update.
   The morning after Halloween, we found another case of urban blight in our parking lot. Apparently, kids had been partying outside our office building...
