PS2 Wild Arms Alter Code F

   In 1997, Sony wowed the Playstation RPG masses with Wild Arms which featured an involving storyline, affable characters and slick battle techniques. While the game itself was great, the graphics were...less so. Sony revisits the original Wild Arms with a remake which redoes the entire game with shiny graphical sheen and updated game play.

   In addition to the three original characters - Cecila the princess, Jack the swordsman and Rudy the gunslinger, players may also recruit Calamity Jane Maxwell, Magdalen Harts and Professor Emma Hetfield for a party of six. During the game, trios of characters may be split into two cadres - one which battles foes and the second which rests and rebuilds life force if they are injured. World exploration takes place in realtime 3-D and encounters are shown in nicely rendered action sequences where monsters and heroes face off in turn-based fashion.

   Other enhancements over the original Wild Arms include completely redrawn graphics by artist Wakako Ooba, a new soundtrack from Michiko Naruke and character voices performed by professional voice actors.
