  NEWS Onimusha 3 Accessories - Shipping Feb. 26

   Hori has announced a couple of fanciful accessories to coincide with the release of Onimusha 3 on February 26, 2004. First off, there's the PS2 Onimusha 3 Memory Card embossed with a gold logo and packaged inside a nifty wooden box. Pricing is set at Y3500 or US$38 from NCS.

   Next up, the PS2 Onimusha 3 Soul Controller, which measures an impressive 38" in total length and is designed like an ebon ceremonial tachi sword of olden times with ornate handle and gold accents. A black wooden stand is also included for mounting and display purposes. Pricing for the Soul Controller is Y14800 or US$195 from NCS. Preorders received before we shutter them on Jan. 05, 2004 are guaranteed. Hori's Tiny Bee controller now goes for about US$400 in the Japanese aftermarket and we're guessing the Soul Controller will follow in those vaunted footsteps.

   Details on the functionality of the PS2 Soul Controller are lacking at this point. We're not sure if the sword can be unsheathed, sheathed, swung (like Kenshin DQ) or hammered down to register with the Onimusha 3 game...

  NEWS General Updates (of no particular consequence)

   The Sengoku VS Gendai - Simple 2000 Series game for PS2 has been postponed to sometime in February 2004. The new date has yet to be determined but we'll update accordingly once D3P announces the new date.

   PS2 Gungrave O.D. now ships on March 4, delayed from February 19. 

   PS2 SNK vs Capcom Chaos is now sold out (as of this morning) despite our healthy amount of stock from last week. We're somewhat surprised, but then again, there's been an upswing in PS2 sales this year and anything in the "VS" fighting series always sells well. NCS expects restock on Jan. 5.
   Please note that we will receive a small quantity of GC Naruto Gekitou Ninja 2 to fill some preorders tomorrow. A new production of the game is scheduled for mid-January so please allow a couple of weeks before the next major supply of the game is made available to us.
