NCS Game Synopsis
©NCSX▪ An addictive puzzle game where a screen filled with animal heads are swiveled to group them in vertical or horizontal rows of three or more. We see pandas, hippos, frogs, and other beasts which are color coded for easy visual cues when performing the flipping and matching action. Chain combos may be effected as well where animal heads fall down and line up with color-coded cohorts in just the right spots. There was one game where we made 5 linked combos that started off with a Lucky Animal match (see details below) and the score multiplier ended up somewhere at about 1000 points.

A relentless timer on the bottom of the screen counts down but make animal matches in order to bump the timer up for a few more seconds of game. Every once in a while, a flashing animal head appears which one clicks to clear the screen of every animal that matches it, which is particularly useful when the timer is running down and combinations are tough to locate. If you're stumped and can't find a match, pressing the "B" button will show an available animal match by ballooning up a group of possible matches. When a trio or row of animals are matched, their eyes open wide and the group disappears from the screen. An animal counter on the right side of the screen keep track of how many animals and which types are cleared as one progresses through the game.

At the beginning of each level, one animal is shown as the "Lucky Animal" and making matches with that particular animal will result in double points. At the end of every 10 levels (if you're game enough to make it that far), a tally screen shows up which gives out a fat bonus depending on how many matches you've made thus far. In one session where we made it to level 14, we ended up a a score of 324,960. Beat that. New to the PS2 version of Zooo is cooperative 2-play play with a big panel filled with animal heads.
