PLEASE READ: The NEW SHOP is separate and distinct from the OLD SHOP. If you place an order on the OLD SHOP, you will not be able to use the NEW SHOP to check on your order and vice versa. Unfortunately, we were not able to resolve the two shop databases in order to transfer customer histories and accounts. Both shops are fully operational and capable of taking orders.

Onimusha 3

Sam saves the day

Jacques vs Sea Kings

PS2 Onimusha 3 - Early Preorders Shipping Today

An early shipment of Onimusha 3 arrived today and approximately half of our preorders are shipping this afternoon. The rest of our preorders and new orders will ship on Wednesday or Thursday when our usual shipments arrive.

It is 1582, ten years after the scenario set forth in Onimusha 2 and the armies of Oda Nobunaga are on the move. The centerpiece of this mighty force is a massive insect in which a lone ninja is hiding. An army of skeletal warriors are on the hunt and the ninja is soon surrounded by menacing undead. Dispatching a few and then sucking up the aimless souls, the masked hero performs a whirling fire attack and soon has the crowd in flames. As he makes his way deeper into the recesses of the living caravan, more resistance is encountered but they're no match for honed ninja skills. In a battle against two bruisers wielding spears, the ninja's masked is unfurled to reveal Samanosuke. Eventually, the two ogres give way to a demon lord who forges a sword in midair and goes on the attack. Sam holds his own against the rampaging demon but the battle stalls temporarily when Samanosuke severs the brain stem of the massive insect. Ensuing explosions destroy the entire army in a wide area conflagration. After the dust settles, demon lord and Samanosuke face off again but Sam draws all of the newly minted souls to his gauntlet and evolves into something godly. Two sword strokes later, demon is soon shuffling off the mortal coil and Oda Nobunaga awaits...

Scene shift.

The year is 2004 and a demonic invasion is underway in Paris. The city is awash in blood as Genma demons mow through the citizenry with unrelenting sword slashes and thrusts. A soldier named Jacques Blanc is relaxing on a side street when a call comes through on his cellphone. He soon joins the contingent of troops who have been called up to defend the city. Elsewhere in Paris, on a side street, Samanosuke appears - transported through time and space from his final battle against Nobunaga to Paris. As Jacques battles, Samanosuke leaps into action and dispatches two Genma demons before they can slice up Jacques. Alas, whereas Samonosuke appears in Paris, Jacques is suddenly sent back to feudal Japan to face his own set of demons...

Onimusha 3 gives players control over Samanosuke and Jacques in their respective time periods. Takeshi Kaneshiro reprises his role as Samanosuke while French actor Jean Reno plays the part of Jacques Blanc. Reno's video hero likeness is rather good with facial features true to life, down to the saddlebags under his eyes. Action-wise, the game play similarly to previous Onimusha games with sword attacks, combo attacks and juggling those attacks with the soul suction of the demon gauntlet. Capcom is apparently closing the Onimusha series with this game and it's a dandy swansong.

Puyo Puyo Fever

DC Puyo Puyo Fever - Shipping Today

Puyo Puyo is no longer headlined by the affable munchkin known as Arle Arja but she's elsewhere in the game as a character actor. Her replacement is an equally effervescent blonde named Amitie who wears a Puyo hat atop her golden locks. Similar to Ms Arja's escapades, our heroine meets and competes against oddly appointed characters in games of puzzle matching action to determine winner and pecking order.

Once the game begins, the familiar Puyos rain down in groups of two. The graphics are shinier than previous incarnations and each duo of Puyos bounce like buoyant jelly once they hit the ground. New shapes include elbow Puyos, teardrop Puyos, yin/yang Puyos and big Puyos which both break up into 4 separate Puyos once they hit the ground. Sprightly sound effects and yelping voices also accompany the visual bounces for that immersive experience.

DBZ Beach Sandals

ETC Dragonball Z Sandals - Shipping June 2004

With summer arriving in a scant few months, Bandai prepares for hot beach weather by starting preorders for a quartet of Dragonball Z Beach Sandals. Poke them out from the DBZ decorated styrofoam board, latch the strap betwixt the big toe and the second toe and you're good to go. Flop around the beach, the sidewalk and even the supermarket in your officially licensed Dragonball sandals. Of course, when your big feet are covering the artwork, no one will know Super Saiyan are underneath but at least you'll know...and that's all that matters. Pricing is expected at US$15 per pair - which is exorbitant, considering the materials probably cost 0.50 per pair.

Gundam Zukoku Hand

TOYS Gundam Z'Gock Hand - Shipping June 2004

The amphibious MSM-07S Mobile Suit was used by the Zeon for submarine warfare. Regulation-issue Z-Gock units were colored a gun-metal/blue color but Char's MSM-07S was colored a crimson shade per his usual requirements.
Gundam fans may relive Z-Gock battles with Banpresto's Z'Gock Hand which features three pincers which open and close when the end shaft is twisted to and fro. Some other uses include back scratcher, corn cob holder, tomato picker and perhaps a weapon against thieves and assorted scoundrels...
