  NEWS Sakura PS2 and 28 new imports - Shipping Wed-Thurs
   The Sakura colored PS2, originally released in the spring of 2003, enjoys a revival this week to coincide with the latest Sakura Taisen game. Sony also reissues the Sakura vertical stand for proper mounting of the pastel pink console. Never one to miss an opportunity, Hori marks the release of the new Sakura game with a pink/white colored Erica Fontaine 8M memory card.

   Most products are expected on Thursday but a few may arrive on Wednesday if the Fates, those Daughters of Necessity, allow it.

  PS2 Beatmania IIDX 7th Style - Shipping May 13, 2004
   Preorders are welcome starting today for the konamistyle.com exclusive Beatmania IIDX 7th Style. Pricing is set at US$78 due to the way the item is being distributed by Konami. We are aware that some shops in Asia have been taking preorders for an "Asian" version of the game.

This version will not exist when May 13 rolls around.

If Konami won't release IIDX 7th Style to general distribution in Japan for fear of low sales numbers, they certainly won't release an Asian localization where sales of PS2 software are dreadful in general.
   Along with Beatmania IIDX 7th Style, about 50 new imports were opened for preorder overnight which are shipping in May and June. There are some interesting ones such as PS2 Silent Hill 4 (Japan release on June 16 - USA release on July 4), the Japanese version of PS2 Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (May 20), PS2 World Rally Championship 3 (May 27), GC Pikmin 2 and Pikmin Puzzle E-cards (April 29). Two new Sega Ages games for the PS2 (Puyo Puyo Tsu Perfect Set and Outrun) also ship on May 27. We'll post the full listing tomorrow morning.
